Effects

Effects include Filters and Shaders which can be added to Shapes in order to adjust their appearance.

Shaders can be added to the materials (Fill and/or Stroke) of a Shape in order to generate gradients or patterns. They can be layered or stacked on top of one another and combined to create more complex effects.

Filters alter the existing materials of a Shape by changing the properties or positions of pixels.

Shaders and Filters can also be used in combination with each other.

Order of Operations

When combining Filters and Shaders, note that Shaders are added to a Shape's materials before a Filter is applied.
