Filters

Filters alter the existing materials of a Shape by changing the properties or positions of pixels.

Filters can be connected to multiple Shapes. For example, a single Drop Shadow Filter can be connected to multiple Shapes so that they all inherit the same appearance.

Example
  1. Create an Ellipse.
  2. Open the Ellipse's Fill tab in the Attribute Editor.
  3. Right click in the Shaders input and choose Add Shader > Gradient Shader.
  4. Open the Ellipse's Shape tab.
  5. Click the + icon next to the Filters Attribute and choose Halftone.
Vector vs Raster

Note that adding Filters to Shapes results in a rasterised 'image' in the Viewport. The underlying vector Shape is unaffected but the resulting render will be anti-aliased. This should only really be noticeable when zooming into the Viewport.
